HOW TO OBTAIN AN EMERGENCY PROTECTIVE ORDER

If you are in danger, call 911 and ask the responding law enforcement officer to request an Emergency Protective Order from a Judge. You can ask for an Emergency Protective Order any time of the day or night; however, keep in mind, an Emergency Protective Order only lasts for 5 court days or 7 calendar days.
